Our cups runneth over with the juice of real Tasmanian fruits: apples and cherries and berries and more. Our premium ciders really celebrate the seasons.
She’ll be apples! Four different kinds, in fact, are blended into our pure, elegantly refreshing, thirst-quenching apple cider — granny smith, gala, golden delicious and jonathon. A great all-rounder.
A sparkling apple cider with beautiful clarity and champagne-like bubbles. Fresh apple aromas with an effervescent apple tang and a lingering medium-dry finish. Serve well chilled.
This enchanting pear and apple blend is soft and alluring: not too sweet, not too dry. The pear cider component is given extra love by being part fermented in chardonnay oak barrels; an apple infusion keeps it fresh and clean.
An enticing pear and apple cider blend (60% beurre bosc and packham pears; 40% apples). Spicy pear flesh and skin on the nose, with subtle oak notes. Rich pear flavours given extra mouthfeel by partial barrel ageing, nicely balanced by a crunchy apple zip. Lovely on its own, or paired with spicy Asian cuisines.
Uniquely Tasmanian, our Cerise (French for ‘cherry’) is a purely Pagan innovation: a bewitching blend of rich dark cherry juice (from plump cherries grown in the orchard beside the cellar door) and dry apple cider.
A lush blend of 40% cherry juice and 60% dry apple cider, with a spicy perfumed nose and claret/burgundy hues. The palate hums with dark cherries and plums, with rich Christmas fruit cake notes. Great with crumbly cheddar.
Seasonal Small-Batch Blends
Throughout the year we also produce small-run blends, available from our cellar door in the Huon Valley, as well as a select few venues. These blends are highly sought, strictly limited-release, and sell out quickly.
Amber in colour with intense strawberry-jam aromas, this cider – a blend of strawberry and apple – is a delightful surprise package. Try it with bitter dark chocolate or a soft blue cheese.
A blend of blueberry (60%) and apple cider (40%), this enchanting rose-hued beauty has aspects of a fine wine with spicy, herbal aromas and textures.
Winning Best in Class at the 2016 Australian Cider Awards, and 100% barrel aged, this wonderful beast of a cider is one we’re super proud of. Before bottling it rested for 18 months in old French oak, with new French and Hungarian staves in 25% of the blend.
Our 2016 mead is truly unique. Crafted from Tasmanian wild flower honey, and obviously rich in nectar character, this remarkable vintage has been blended with wood-aged, barrel-fermented Napoleon pears, handpicked from a heritage-listed tree in Hobart.
An ambrosial, savoury blend of fragrant quince (17%) and dry apple cider (83%), with a beguiling confectionery nose and a good grip of acid on the palate. Like all our small-batch ciders, this blend varies seasonally; very little remains of our 2015 vintage, which is drinking beautifully.
